Taelon Shuttles are the preferred method of travel for Taelons and their agents on Earth. They are also used for transportation from Earth to the Mothership. They are equipped with Inter-Dimensional drives allowing travel to any point on the planet within minutes.
The pilot's controls are projected on a virtual windscreen. Each control is called a touchpoint ("Horizon Zero").
When blasting butterflies that had swarmed the shield around it ("Float Like a Butterfly") Boone expressed concern that increasing the power output of his Skrill further to damage the butterflies would risk destroying the shuttle: "it takes too strong a blast to be effective, anything more powerful I'll vaporize the shuttle".
